An OVERHANG is a protruding structure that may provide protection for the lower levels of a building.
A PIER is a vertical column of brickwork or other material, used to strengthen the wall or to support a weight
A QUAD MOULDING is a moulding with a cross-section of a quadrant of a circle used to cover joints (often in eaves or at junctions of walls and/or ceilings).
A RETAINING WALL is a wall built to hold back a bank of soil or other material.
SOFFIT is the material between the roof’s eaves where the fascia and gutters are placed to the wall.
A TRUSS is a structure with straight pieces forming triangles to support a load.
UNDERPINNING is the process of strengthening the foundation of an existing building or other structure.
WEEPHOLES are the gaps left between some bricks in external masonry walls to facilitate ventilation and drainage.
